About Chuck Johnson

KILOTERRA Land Broker Chuck Johnson, grew up on a small hobby farm in the rolling hills of Southern Missouri. His family had horses, and he spent many of his younger years around the arena with team ropers and bull riders. When he wasn’t working the chutes or driving dad’s Ford 8n tractor, he spent nearly every spare minute hunting and fishing with friends and family. These experiences helped shape Chuck’s strong love for land and the outdoors very early.

Following graduation from University of Missouri Rolla, Chuck took a Mechanical Engineering role with Garmin International in Olathe Kansas, where he was very fortunate to develop some exciting products for the outdoor and fitness markets. Here, he learned a tremendous amount about customer focus, and honed his skills in solving complex problems, organization, and leadership. This relocation to Kansas provided Chuck an opportunity to see new land, and meet many new people who shared his passions as
well. While in Kansas, Chuck got his first introduction to the Real Estate Business. When not busy with his day job, or chasing whitetails, he was learning the business of land sales from a veteran agent.

After only a few short years, another opportunity came about, and Chuck together with his wife and daughter relocated again. This time, it was for love…. the love of whitetails. Chuck had the opportunity to move to Iowa, arguably the best whitetail hunting state in the country. He took another role in the Engineering Field working for Pioneer Hi-bred International. In his time there, Chuck lead several development projects totaling in the tens of millions of dollars. During this time, Chuck had also obtained his real estate license and began selling properties for a national land-based brokerage in Iowa. He quickly became recognized as the top producing agent, and began exploring ways to continue to expand his passion for business and marketing.

Eventually, with his wife Chelsea, Chuck started on a new Journey. Together, they launched KILOTERRA, a real estate brokerage specializing in land sales and auctions with a focus on Farmland and Recreational properties. Chuck finds this business to be a perfect balance of his passion for farming and hunting, and it allows him to utilize the many skills he developed throughout his corporate career.

Today, Chuck resides in Adel with his wife Chelsea and their two children, Hailey and Huntley, and their two Brittany Spaniels, Goose and Koa. When they aren’t busy with school activities, you can most often find them out on one of their farms where they love to hunt and fish. It’s a life that Chuck does not take for granted, and he is thankful for every day.

When considering a land transaction, you need a team that understands land, and has the experience and attention to detail to help you make the right decisions. Chuck combines his passion for farming and the outdoors with his technical experience to provide his clients an unmatched level of service they deserve. Contact Chuck today, and he’ll put his knowledge and expertise in land sale to work for you.
